WASHINGTON - September 14th, 81 organizations sign statement of support against uranium exploration/mining in Algonquin territory in Ontario Canada … statement was sent to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Minister of Indian Affairs Chuck Strahl, Ontario Premier, Dalton McGuinty and Ontario Minister of Aboriginal Affairs David Ramsey. The statement was signed by 81 organizations from 12 different countries and 107 individuals.

In addition to the above political and organizational support, over 2000 eastern Ontario people have signed a petition supporting CCAMU’s call for a moratorium.
